Dr. Michael Galvan, PhD is a frequent contributor to our CES events. He has an extensive background in directing retreats and facilitating Scripture Study.  He received his Ph.D. from the Graduate Theological Union (Berkeley) in Christian Spirituality.  Currently, Dr. Galvan is  CRIL's Executive Director [Community Resources for Independent Living]. Prior to that, he was Program Director for 9 years. Michael brings a love and expertise to Scripture studies and an understanding of living the Word of God.

 In this Year of Jubilee 2025 proclaimed by Pope Francis, Michael will expand and deepen the hope we experience through the prophets and scripture events as we navigate through these uncharted times in which we live. Michael continues to bless us with His wisdom and insights as we journey in hope.

This two-part series will be offered on Zoom on two evenings:

Part 1: "Scriptural Foundations and Prophetic Voices"

Delve into the profound messages of hope and redemption woven throughout the Scriptures, from the Old Testament to the New Testament. Explore how the prophets spoke of a future filled with promise and renewal. This episode will highlight their timeless words, revealing how prophetic hope has shaped and sustained faith through the ages.

Part 2: "The Call of Jubilee 2025: Embracing Renewal and Restoration"

Investigate the significance of the Jubilee Year 2025, a time of reflection, restoration, and renewal. This episode will examine how the biblical concept of Jubilee—rooted in the ideas of forgiveness, freedom, and community—resonates in contemporary times. We'll explore how modern movements and religious communities are heeding this call, working towards social justice, economic equality, and environmental stewardship, in line with prophetic visions of a just and hopeful future.
