CES is co-sponsoring with the six South Deanery Parishes a live theatrical one-man drama, based on the life of Fr. Augustus Tolton, the first African American priest. The production will be held on May 14 at 2pm at Holy Spirit Parish Center.  Tickets will be required for this event and will be provided for those who register.

If you live in the East Bay, you may have read Bishop Michael Barber's article "Lent and Easter. Death and Resurrection" in the April 2022 edition of The Catholic Voice, in which Fr. Tolton's story is shared, linking it closely with the Lent/Easter mysteries we have been celebrating. Here is the link to the article:

When you register, you will receive a confirmation email. If you register by May 8, your tickets will be mailed to you. If you register after May 8, you will pick them up at the door, the day of the performance. Register early!

The six Deanery Parishes, (St. Joseph, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Holy Spirit, St. Edward, St. James, Corpus Christi) will also be selling tickets.
